Know Where to Go When Your Pet Needs Help

At Bethalto Animal Clinic, wellness care is about building a foundation for a long, healthy life. Routine preventive care helps us track your pet’s health over time, catch concerns early, and make recommendations that fit their individual needs.

For nearly 50 years, families throughout Bethalto, Wood River, East Alton, Alton, Edwardsville, Bunker Hill, Roxana, and surrounding Madison County communities have trusted our team with their pets’ care. Many of our clients are second and third-generation families who continue bringing their pets to the same independent, family-owned clinic their parents and grandparents relied on
That trust is built on compassionate, personalized care, honest pricing, and recommendations based on what your pet truly needs. Our veterinarian and veterinary team take the time to get to know your pet and help you make informed decisions about their health.

Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful articles, seasonal pet care tips, and veterinary guidance from the team at Bethalto Animal Clinic. Stay informed with resources designed to support your pet’s health and well-being.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. We see patients by appointment to help provide timely, tailored care. Limited same-day urgent visits may be available depending on scheduling and case severity. Please call ahead for availability.

Are you accepting new clients?

At this time, Bethalto Animal Clinic is currently at capacity and not accepting new clients. We appreciate your understanding as we continue expanding our facility to better serve the community.

Do you perform spays and neuters?

Yes. We offer routine spay and neuter procedures for both dogs and cats.

Why does my pet need yearly exams if they seem healthy?

Many pets hide signs of illness very well. Routine wellness exams help us monitor your pet’s overall health and identify concerns early. Annual visits are also required to maintain a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship for prescription medications.
